qr code in a book
-
Hi,
I have a qr code in my book that drives people to my blog. I plan to buy a personal plan with a domain. Once I have the domain, will the printed qr code work?
Thanks in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

A QR-code even works on a free wordpress.com site. Just make sure the QR-code contains the right information.

Thanks. I really need that the QR code works with the custom domain too, i.e., people who scans the QR code from the book of the wordpress.com free will be redirect to the custom domain.

Anyone typing a free address into a browser is automatically directed to a custom domain if someone upgrades their site so yes it should work.

Hello @blogenigmath,
I checked your site, and I see that your custom domain, pauloferro.com, is already set as the primary address. This means your free WordPress.com address, blogenigmath.wordpress.com, will automatically redirect to pauloferro.com.
So if the QR code in your book points to blogenigmath.wordpress.com, anyone scanning it will be seamlessly redirected to your custom domain. You can test this right now by scanning the QR code or typing blogenigmath.wordpress.com in a browser, you’ll see it goes straight to pauloferro.com.
For more details on how WordPress.com handles primary addresses and multiple domains, you can also check this guide: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/set-a-primary-address/#use-multiple-domains
This setup ensures that your QR code will continue to work perfectly, even after you switch to a personal plan and add your custom domain.
Let me know if you have any other questions, I’m happy to help!
