Printing blog URL on promotional materials

    I want to print the title of my blog on some promotional materials: labels, tote bags, etc. Do I need to include the ‘http://’ part, or would ‘piddingtonpantry.wordpress.com’ lead people to the blog? Adding ‘http://’ looks too technical and offputting for many of our target audience, but I do want everyone to be able to access the blog.

    I think most people at this point know that the http:// goes without saying. More importantly, there is no browser in use today that requires you to enter http:// before a URL in order for that URL to work. So even if the person trying to look at your site had never heard it http:// and just entered piddingtonpantry.wordpress.com in their browser, they would still be sent to your website.

    Does that make sense?

    Thank you, yes, that makes perfect sense. I just worried that some browsers/devices might not recognise it, although all the ones I’ve tried it on so far found it OK without the ‘http://’ bit. I’ll therefore leave it off my promotional items.
