Post to Facebook not showing up

    I would like to post to a specific group on Facebook from WordPress, but when I click share and type in the name of the group, it doesn’t show up on that group’s page. Why?

    Hi there,

    This isn’t something we have any control over. The sharing window that opens when you click the sharing button comes directly from Facebook, and they control all aspects of how it works and what it allows. Even the code for the sharing button on your site comes directly from Facebook; all we do on our end is insert their code into your post so the button will display, but the rest of the process is completely in their control.

    If I had to make a guess, the group is configured on Facebook’s end to restrict sharing content directly from other websites, or there’s some restriction on who can share, etc. If that’s the case, you’ll need to share the post manually, i.e. copy the post URL from your browser address bar, go to the group on Facebook, and paste the URL into a new post on that group.
