Picture captions are now leftaligned on worksheet (only). Minibug?

  • Until a week or two ago the captions under a centeraligned picture always appeared centeraligned. They still do – but for some reason the caption nowadays are leftaligned on the worksheet. I think that it has happened by accident and caused me some heart palpilations until I found that they still get centered when uploaded. Unless this was done for som Higher Purpose, I suggest that you restore the old, correct ways. (Priority level: trivial )

  • I, too, have been having problems with captions not working right. The alignment is messed up in the editor. Before, in the visual mode they looked like captions; now they look like body text below the picture. While it displays properly in preview and publication, a WYSIWYG editor would be better.

Also, several times over the last month or so captions don’t post to the editor as captions. Instead, they end up as alt text or they vanish when I click the insert button for a pic. I have to go into text mode and correct the HTML to get it to look right. For example, here’s the HTML that makes it look right:

    [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="640"]<img src=”https://1969chriscraftroamer46.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/dscf7029.jpg?w=640&h=480″ alt=”” width=”640″ height=”480″ /> Brand new Awlgrip got dinged up[/caption]

And here’s how the system is coding it automatically now:

    [caption id="attachment_3771" align="alignnone" width="640"]<img class=”size-full wp-image-3771″ src=”https://1969chriscraftroamer46.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/dscf7027.jpg” alt=”More dinged up paint on the port side” width=”640″ height=”480″ /> More dinged up paint on the port side[/caption]

What’s going on with the editor? Doesn’t anybody beta test changes before implementation?
