Photo Borders
-
Hello,
I was thinking it might be nice to be able to put borders around photos in my posts, however when I try to do so using the standard editor, if the photo has a caption, the border only wraps around 3 sides of the photo instead of 4. Does anyone know why this might be and/or how to fix it?
Thanks!

Here is an example, the first photo in this post:

Hi there, the border is there on the right, but is sitting outside the caption area since the border widths are added to the width of the image, making it 4px wider (2px on each side). The following reduces the image width by 1% so that the border will show.
.wp-caption img { width: 99% }

Thanks again! It still sort of seems like the border doesn’t evenly wrap around the entire photo (i.e. more white space on the sides than the top and bottom), or am I just crazy?

It looks pretty even to me, but you are using 1.5px for the width of your border, and that can cause issues. I would stick with whole numbers. If you go to 2, and it seems too bold and wide, you might try going to a darker grey for the color instead of black, perhaps try #777777 with a width of 2px and see what you think.
