PDF file not being deleted from WordPress server?

I have recently cleared all files from my website by deleting the whole media library, yet this one file

Click to access bio263-evolutionary-anatomy.pdf

remains available, whilst as far as I can see all other links to the old media files take it to a 404 error page. I deleted this file from the server four days ago, why is this one persisting? I really need it taken offline ASAP.

I received a 404 error so it appears to be gone:

404 — File not found.

Clearing it completely from WordPress.com can take up to three days.

However, although lorenzocaum has mentioned he received a 404 error, I was able to access that file by clicking on the link you provided.

I will tag this for Staff assist in permanently removing it from the servers. Please be patient while they get back to you.

I have deleted that PDF from our servers for you. If it still appears in your browser after this, please clear your browser cache and it should disappear.
