Page numbering/sequencing

  • I accidently changed a page name during the loading of content. I changed it back but that page now shows up in the online index as the first page, even though it is numbered as the last. I tried deleting the page and adding it with the correct name but no change. I tried renumbering all pages, with no change. I don’t know what else to try.

  • I do not self-host WordPress.com.
Do I understand correctly that this WordPress.com Forum cannot assist anyone who accesses WordPress.com through a hosting provider?

  • Hi there,

Here at WordPress.com, we can only provide support for sites that are hosted on our platform.

Your site is using the WordPress software, and it’s hosted by Bluehost. So, for hosting-related issues, you need to contact Bluehost, and for issues or questions about WordPress, you need to post in these forums:

  • Thank-you for your clarification. Please consider including it in the mandatory reading prior to signing up for the WordPress.com Support Forum.
Thanks again for your patience and support!
PS: Bluehost “Customizing Menus” allowed pages in the Navigation Menu to be reordered, which solved the problem. All the best!
