P2 Classic Theme – How to add "Category" to my post?
-
I can only add “tag” when I write a new post with this theme. I can not add “Category”. Is this true? I checked everywhere but I did not see an Add Category widget in post editing… Am I missing something?
Also when I want to paste HTML instead of text where can I choose this? Normally other themes have 2 choices when you want to post as text or html… I did not see it in this theme…

Hi lyrklaunavan,
After testing this theme, it appears that you can only add “tags” to your posts (You can add categories from the back end but they are not shown in the front end), You can paste HTML directly in the editor.
To delete a post, click on “Edit” beside the Post title, then click on “Trash” (bottom right)
I hope this answers your questions.

Thanks for the answer. Can you try to delete the post? There is no “Trash” in bottom right in this theme. I wonder how people delete post with this theme…

Hi there,
We can’t delete posts on your behalf but can definitely guide you in the right direction. :)
If you navigate to My Sites in the top left of WordPress.com and choose Blog Posts from the options in the left sidebar, you’ll see a listing of all your posts:
https://wordpress.com/posts/stackoverflow1453.wordpress.com
Select the “More” option alongside the post you want to delete to unveil the “Trash” option.
Let us know if that helps out or if you have any further questions.

On a similar note – I want to add a category to a page, but the Rowling theme does not allow it. I’d really like to give pages a category and those pages to show along with the blog posts when anyone clicks on the category in the sidebar.
What themes do allow it? – I saw it demonstrated in a video which only some themes have this option.

@naturewatchingineurope: It’s not possible to display pages in a listing of blogs posts in a certain category with any theme here at WordPress.com.
The video you watched may have concerned sites that are hosted outside of WordPress.com and running on the free software available at WordPress.org.
The difference between the two types of WordPress (WordPress.com and WordPress.org) is a common and understandable point of confusion. If you’re unsure of the differences, then this guide gives a good overview:
If you have further questions around that then please start a new thread on this forum? You can do that here:
