Our vote got hacked?
-
We were using the plug-in “Polls” on mrgayeuope.com and we noticed that we got far more votes than actual visits on the voting page, twice as many votes than visits, and all the votes went to one of the people you could vote for. How is this possible? Also the number of votes (submitted during 2 weeks) doubled in 6 hour (from about midnight to 6 in the morning).
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @toreaasheim,
Can you share the URL of the website again? The link at mrgayeuope.com does not seem to be active. If you can share the correct URL, we could help you further.
Thanks!

http://www.mrgayeurope.com/poll/2017vote
it was published on mrgayeurope.com/vote – that URL is now closed due to the fact the voting is over but it is also found on the URL above.

Hi @toreaasheim,
Your site at http://www.mrgayeurope.com/ is a Self Hosted WordPress site, not a WordPress.com site. To know the difference have a look here:
WordPress Com vs WordPress ORG
Your best way to get help would be to post on the ORG forums. I can’t exactly figure out which Polls Plugin is being used, and if you know the whole name it would be more useful. You can find the name within the set of plugins here :
You could post the query in the particular plugin support, and someone could help you there. This forum is just for WordPress.com folks.
Hope you get to know the problem soon. Thanks!
