You aren’t receiving the confirmation email for your initial site creation? Have you checked http://wordpress.com/me under “Account Settings” and confirmed that the email address is correct?
Or is there a different confirmation email you are referring to?

If you’ve tried everything recommended by discokoffing above and still no luck, be sure to check your spam/junk folders in your email program. Sometimes important emails can land in there!

Will you please confirm that the email address here https://wordpress.com/me/account for the exact same username account that registered http://playwithmeorg.wordpress.com/ is correct.
