No worms in WordPress.com/No need to upgrade??

    I just read a WordPress article that recommended people upgrading their WordPress blogs because of a worm that is going around. The description sounded serious.

    I clicked HOME for more info and then saw that it was WordPress.ORG.

    Should I feel safe from worms etc since I am with WordPress.COM and not .ORG?

    Yes. No reason to worry whatsoever. While the downside of wordpress.com to wordpress.org is that the scope of what you can do is somewhat limited, the upside is that you are virtually 100% safe from any sort of attack.

    Yes. Feel very safe!

    wp.COM takes care of all that for us.

    With wp.ORG, a blogger is hosted somewhere else and pays for that hosting service, and is responsible for fixing anything that goes wrong.
