No option to log in with password
-
I’m attempting to log in to another account but keep getting sent a link via email without getting the option to enter a password. I’m pretty sure I know the password, but I can’t get logged in to the associated email to get the links, so I was hoping there was a way to have the site require a password instead of just automatically sending a link? Thanks!

Hi there!
Can you let us know the URL of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
Thank you!

Thanks for confirming. When you ask for a login link, that preference is recorded in your account as your preferred login method going forward. If you wish to turn off login links so you can log in with your username and password instead, you can follow these steps.
- visit the WordPress.com login screen and use the Lost your password option.
- Reset your password using this option.
- The next time you log in, you will be prompted enter your username and password again.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Hi @panicski, sorry we missed that detail. We do have an account recovery process if you don’t have access to the email address:
