Newbie questions about working with images
-
I have looked through the support pages, read the manual on my camera, and am still hitting a brick wall.
I am only a month old working with a digital camera. I have 9.0 MP Canon – but I think I am entering my photos wrong.
I like uniform size, so I resize them before I upload them to 400 x 300. Am undoing the pixel power of my camera? My photos still appear grainy.
So here is the noob question: How do I change the dimensions of my photo without sacrificing the quality (pixel size). I don’t even know the right words to do a google search :-)

You can not enhance the size of pictures without shedding some pixels.
See this https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/image-quality-1?replies=22 some good responses from seniors. -

Why to reduce their size? Just select small size when inserting in the post when you’ve uploaded it. But you should use large images. Changing the image size from HTML code all messes it up.

@readytochangenow: Please ignore hnsaifi’s wrong replies.
Your images link to the original file when clicked. Is that intentional or not? If the available options aren’t clear to you, check this post:

The correct answer to your question depends on whether you want the images to be clickable or not. -

These were all very helpful – thank you! I had no idea that there were three link options.
I have some reading to do – thank you!
