  How can I remove categories menu from left of my site (beinginplaces.wordpress.com) without purchasing premium?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That’s a category widget which is one of the default widgets on Oxygen theme.

  The Primary Sidebar displays categories and archives by default, and the Secondary Sidebar displays search, links, and meta by default if no widgets are configured in Appearance → Widgets.

  If you cannot simply remove it, then add an empty text widget and it will go away. You may need to add the archives widget again if you want it to display. You can then remove the empty text widget and you’ll be set for happy blogging!
