There have been issues with that browser version. Staff will assist as soon as they can. In the meanwhile you can download and use another browser from http://browsehappy.com if you wish to.

Well at least I know it’s not something I’ve done wrong. I will try out another browser until the Chrome issue gets resolved. Thank you for your help. T

I’m having the same problem. I’m also using Google Chrome.
I also have Microsoft Edge (the new IE for Windows 10) and it works fine there. Since I do everything else on Chrome, it’s a nusiance to switch back and forth, just to read and respond to my notifications.I’ve also noticed that Chrome won’t let me “like” posts from other bloggers.

I’m having this same problem using the latest Firefox for Mac. I have a feeling there’s a site-wide slowness problem, as I know someone else who hasn’t been able to log in.

Maybe, but I’ve had this problem for several weeks now. I did a system restore once, and it seemed to fix the problem, but the next day, it was back. I’m guessing that had something to do with updates from Chrome.

Interesting. I still think there’s some unreported slowness with wordpress.com over the last 36 hours, since I haven’t gotten “latest posts” or the notifications working (in Firefox), but there are likely to be also issues with Chrome.

I have the same problem with my notifications. I’ve done the whole cache/cookie thing and it has not helped. Thank you for the advice, its interrupted my work flow, but now I’ll just try another browser. Great relief its not something I’ve done. Thank you

Hi folks, thanks for your patience.
Is anyone still struggling with this issue, specifically with the notifications box “spinning” instead of displaying notifications?
If so, please complete all of these steps:
– Clear cache
– Close and re-open the browser
– Verify the problem still exists
– Get a screenshot of your error console
– Upload it to Cloudup or a similar service
– Send a link in this thread, along with your browser versionIf anyone is willing to complete the other steps found on this page, that would help too. I just think the error console may be most helpful now.
We’ll get to the bottom of this. We just need more information since we haven’t been able to duplicate it here. Thanks!
