Most Recent Blogs Not Showint on Main Page
-
The blogs I have posted recently don’t show on the front page. Newer ones show in the “recent musings” column on the right, but they should show at the top of the home page. What option keeps them off the front page?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is caused by setting the post as a sticky post and then forgetting to remove that status when you no longer need it the front page (been there)
The sticky post is set and removed under
Edit the post(s) in question.
Post Settings- Status
- Stick to the front page
It is a toggle.

Houstonweaver, thanks a ton. I haven’t fixed it yet, but your experience dealing with the same is gold. How much grief did it give you? I made it to the wordpress.org help forum first where I learned that the .org ppl are either unhelpful or not smart. I wouldn’t accuse them of being both. That would be racist.

Looks like you got the “stickies” sorted out!
Glad you made it to the correct forum.
This helped me understand better the distinctions between the versions of WordPress.
The versions are quite different and forum volunteers often need to do some “gatekeeping” to make sure the questioner is in the correct forum to get a correct answer. The .org environment is much more complex so volunteers have more variables to juggle to discover the correct answer to an issue.
Luckily WordPress (both versions) has good documentation. Ours is located at
