missing meta widget

I can’t find the meta widget anywere. Where can I find it? I am using the Big Brother Theme. Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve seen several posts here recently about the disappearance of the meta widget. Same problem for me. I’ve used it for years. When I came today to create a new blog for a friend, no meta widget is offered?

Hi, thank you for your reply. I was also just setting up a new blog (I have imported it from an old one), and when checking through the widgets, I just could not find the meta widget listed. It is simply not there. Which is strange as I have other blogs with the same theme and never encountered this problem before. I wonder what has changed…

Same problem here – no meta widget anywhere, even on Dashboard. Has anyone been able to learn anything?

By my count there are now 6 threads asking about the missing meta widget, all created on or after 1 March 2016. So it seems it is not “us”, but something happened in WordPress at about that time. I await some reaction from WordPress. (I’ll give them until after Easter :))

Yes, hopefully they will notice that there are quite many people looking for this naughty little widget… :-) Let’s wait and see, what they’ll do about it.
