Menu Not Consistent in Confit; background image reverts

    When I view the site, the menu in the sidebar only has Home and Blog. If I go into Customize, I see the menu as I want it to look. The site is currently private since it is under construction. How can I be sure that it will look right when I publish it?

    Also, I changed the background image in the Customize menu, but sometimes the default image shows up. I have been battling this theme for days now. I have used it in the past with no problem, but this time it is a bear.

    Has the meta widget been discontinued?
