Looking for theme with specific feature

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a theme that on the homepage allows for different columns to display content only from a specific category (i.e. column 1 displays content from category 1, column 2 displays content from category 2, etc). I’m having trouble finding documentation on themes on whether they do this / figuring out if this is possible. Are there any themes that allow us to do this or is this something infeasible with WordPress?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. I’m afraid I’ve not come across a theme that does this. You can have different categories display on their own pages, if that will work for you. See these links on how to do that: http://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/

It might be possible to customise an existing theme to do this using CSS. The people in the CSS forum will be best able to tell you if that’s possible or not, and what code will be needed to do it. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform

@theprincetonfinancier, some of the Magazine style themes offer this. The Premium Theme, Magazine, is the one that comes to mind right now. The Front Page Template has a lot of flexibility which you can read about here (Look under Configuring the Homepage).
