K2-lite Header customization
-
Hello.
I’ve recently started a blog, and been struggling a little in customizing some aspects of it. I initially started with Kubrick theme, but it was pretty much a nightmare trying to customize the header via css. I have now settled on K2-lite, but I am still trying to find a way to edit the header. The header is by default set to a certain size, but I would like to upload an image from my Macintosh Hd of 680 px in width and 369 px in height via editing the Css.
Could anyone please help me – I would appreciate it.
Thank you in advance! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There might be some guidance in the references listed at the head of the CSS forum; have you read those?

There is information listed, however every theme differs with its own Css coding (and I am specifically asking about K2-lite).
I contacted the Support team hoping they could help. I will be posting their response soon. Thank you for that. -
There is no staff support for the CSS upgrade. You are essentially on your own with it.
The method for adding a header to a Custom CSS blog is to upload the image, copy the URL, and paste that into the code where the URL for the header image is. You will also, of course, have to edit the header width to the proper desired width. All of these sections are identified in the code.

Do I need to upload the image somewhere online to be able to use it – Can’t my URL be the position of the image in my hard disk? Ie: ( /Users/Ram/Desktop/b1.jp). I’ve been trying that, but it doesn’t really seem to work.

You can upload them to your media library, then get the URL of that image, and then put it into the appropriate place in the CSS.
Right now your header image is in a google mail account. That will never work since wordpress would have to log into your mail account.
Download the image to your desktop and then upload it to your blog media library: media > add new. Once it is uploaded the URL of the image will be toward the bottom of that upload window.
