Is it possible to have altering custom header with each page load on K2 lite? Or do I have to install K2?
thanks for your time

I’m not convinced I know what you mean. Installing K2 is not a wordpress.com option. On K2 lite you can have a custom header (size is 780 pixels x 200) pixels. I see you have already installed one. If perchance you mean: can I have a rotating series of header images that change with each page load? then the answer is “no”. You can have only one header image on any wordpress.com theme but you can manually change it as frequently as you choose to.

I have friends though who use K2 and who have have rotating headers. here’s the link http://www.jimseven.com

Are their blogs hosted at WordPress.com, or are they hosted offsite, using downloaded WordPress software? If they’re hosted here then obviously you can do it and you should ask them how, but I suspect they’ve got the downloaded version, which is more customizable.

If your friends have a blog with rotating headers then it is from wordpress.org and not from wordpress.com. Also they either are self hosting the blog or they have hired a webhost. WordPress.com and wordpress.org blogs are very different. They have a different code base. At the head of the forum is a pink sticky post with the title “please read me first before posting to the forum” it contains the information you need to understand the differences between the two http://wordpress.com/forums/topic.php?id=3700&replies=1 -
The poster is asking about a rotating images header like I suggested a few months ago. I can’t find the thread though.
All we’re allowed here is static header images, one per blog.
Hope this helps,
