Joomla database and Joomla core- and data files on laptop

  • Hi
I am in the middle of moving from provider A/website based on Joomla to provider B/wordpress website.
    Status:
    1) Joomla database at Provider A has been exported to a SQL-file at my Laptop. Also Joomla core- and datafiles has been moved via FTP from Provider A to my laptop.
    2) The SQL-file on my Laptop has been imported to provider B/Wordpress – so next to wordpress tables in the database here, I now have all the Joomla tables.

How do I now get the Joomla core-files and datafiles from my Laptop to Provider A/wordpress?
And what are next steps from then ?

    Thanks for your advises…

  • Joomla software and WordPress software are completely different.

Unfortunately, there isn’t an easy way to achieve this since the resources I found requires a special plugin that isn’t available on WordPress.com. You might have better luck moving to a WordPress.org blog instead.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

A WordPress.org blog allows you to upload your own custom plugins and themes, and gives you full control over your site’s code.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
