Jetpack stats showing no views/viewers yet we have orders
-
We are a business that is still getting orders but somehow no views/visitors. The stats in Jetpack are at 0 for the entire month, the last 3 months which cannot be correct as we average 10k a month. It appears something is broken but we aren’t sure what?

Hi there –
From what I can tell, the site isn’t connected to Jetpack at the moment. Let me know when you get the plugin activated again and I’ll look for any connection errors.

Hi, On the ‘My Jetpack’ page it says our site is connected and under Plugins it says it’s active. What should we do?
-
Yesterday I disconnected and then reconnected Jetpack, but that hasn’t made any difference. I haven’t yet deactivated the plug in and then disconnected and reconnected and then reactivated the plug in.

Sorry to spam replies. I should also add under site health we have the error message:
Jetpack has detected an error syncing your site. The information synced by Jetpack ensures that Jetpack Search, Related Posts and other features are aligned with your site’s current content. Error Jetpack has detected that data is not properly in sync which may be impacting some of your site’s functionality.
I ran the ‘click here to do a fix’ link but that didnt work.

Hello there,
Has the domain changed recently? Anything from http to https or even from lifewithbess.com to http://www.lifewithbess.com?
The reason why I ask is because a connection loads under https://jptools.wordpress.com/debug/?url=http://www.lifewithbess.com but not under https://jptools.wordpress.com/debug/?url=http://lifewithbess.com, so I suspect there’s some confusion happening here.

Hi, I spoke to someone else in the business and he said that we did have an affiliate plug in that added something into the web address that might have affected the domain name, but we deactivated it over 12hrs ago to test if the views came back and the views haven’t changed. We’ve had orders since we deactivated the plug in so the views should have gone up. What can we do?

Hello there,
Got it, it looks like that could be the culprit.
Can you deactivate and disconnect Jetpack as per these instructions:
- https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/
This should ensure the correct connection is in place.

I can see it’s connected properly right now, but I’m not sure what could be causing the stats to fail. Would you be willing to get in touch with Jetpack support directly, as they may have ideas as to whether a plugin is conflicting, etc?
Please also share with them what you see on the main Jetpack page of wp-admin, and whether there are any messages about your stats there.
-
I’m glad it’s connected properly now at least. I noticed the error message is gone from site health section as well. We only have the free version so not sure support will help us.

I noticed that access to our xmlrpc.php page says 403 Forbidden so maybe that is why. I’ll have to talk to our web hosting guy about why it says that.
