    The issue was coming from the caching plugin installed on the site | litespeed-cache |

    To fix the Jetpack connection, I deactivated litespeed-cache and reinstalled the Jetpack plugin. Caching plugins aren’t compatible with WordPress.com. Don’t worry, you don’t need one :)
