Issues with Stats?
-
I was just wondering if I’m the only one having issues with Stats? I recently moved to wordpress and I’ve been steadily generating increasing readership and was running about 35 readers per day for a good while. Then suddenly it spiked to 56 and the next day it dropped out. 30, 21, 11, the last couple of days I’ve only recieved 2 or 3 views.
I havn’t changed anything, I’m still posting daily about the same topics and reviews. The only thing I can figure is
a) the holiday or
b) since half my blog is about video games, all my readers left to play the PS3 or Wii.Or possibly there has been some change as to how stats are handled.

I’d guess b). Your market was probably all in lineups at the Walmart, or checking for info. But you could drop a feedback and ask the techies; they’ll be able to tell you for sure.
Timethief always recommends getting Sitemeter (I think it’s sitemeter) as well, the non-javascript version, then comparing the two. If something goes on the blink with one system, you’ve always got a backup.

I’ve got an Activemeter account set up. I’ll check that.
Also it turns out it didn’t drop to 2 or 3, but 9-8, The graph just has a new scale factor since I had been getting more hits that 10 hits looks tiny.

@ramenjunki
I know that sitemeter has a non-javascript version for wordpress.com blogs. And the FAQs says activemeter’s html version is okay too http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/20/how-do-i-add-a-counter-using-a-widget/
