Issue with given username and password when signing in

    Hi there!

    I recently got wordpress (.org) installed and am trying to set up my purchased theme.

    I had to have a third party set it up for me as I was having issues on my end connecting to my FTP server.

    They set me up with a password and all was well. This morning when trying to sign into the account, I am told the username is invalid (but it’s the username specified in WordPress’ own e-mails to me!).

    I keep pressing ‘forgot password?’ just to confirm that said username is linked with said domain and this e-mail address, and it is. However, each time I login (using the username provided by wordpress itself) as well as the new password I’ve just created, I receive a “username unknown” notification.

    My wordpress website is http://www.wordatelier.com and my username is audralpha. I am typing this information in correctly.

    Please help! I need to sign in and customize my theme.

    That site is not hosted by WordPress.COM. We provide support only for blogs hosted by WordPress.COM. As that site is not hosted here by WordPress.COM, our support docs do not relate to it, and we cannot provide support for it. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.     If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
