Issue with Child Theme Documentation – Enqueue Stylesheet section

  • Hi, I’m not sure this is the right place for this, but I can’t find any other way to contact anyone at WordPress.:

I just wanted to let someone know that the code formatting is messed up on this page in the documentation: https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/

Specifically under the section ” 3. Enqueue stylesheet #”

Whatever you used to format the code spit out some extra characters, so if someone is unaware of that, they will be having some issues trying to use that code from the documentation. More specifically, the ending syntax has “?>” included erroneously. I know a lot of people that are new to WordPress will be reading that documentation & they probably won’t have any idea what the issue is when they copy and paste the code from there.

Again, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I just can’t find any other way to get into contact with someone at WordPress to bring up this issue.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

Since the link you provided is related to WordPress.org you might want to post this over in the WordPress.org forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

Possibly in their Requests and Feedback section, unless there is a better forum or way to let those on the .org side know.

The support forums here are for the WordPress.com sites which are separate from the WordPress.org sites. You can learn about what makes them different at https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
