Is there a way to remove the “my Account” blue bar?
-
I would like to remove the ability to see the “my account” blue bar at the top of the blog page when a viewer looks at the page. Is this possible? If so, how?
Thanks!

No. It is not possible on a wordpress.com hosted blog and only those signed into wordpress.com see it. The only way to have a blog without this navigation bar appearing is to move to self-hosting and downloading a template from http://wordpress.org which runs on different software than we do here.

A viewer doesn’t see the blue bar unless they are logged into WordPress.com. It is possible to remove this… but only if you use your own domain.

It is possible to remove it with CSS, but staff have made it clear that the blue admin bar cannot be removed and if you do, it is a policy violation which may get your blog suspended or kicked off. As dailygrumble mentions, it is only for people logged into wordpress.com that it shows and part of the system here with wordpress.com that has to stay.
Hope that clarifies.

Using this Greasemonkey script you could remove the blue bar but it’s only for you, other users without this script will see the blue bar of course.
