Is there a links shortcode available on the personal plan?
-
I thought at one time there was a links shortcode like [links] that could be used for pages and posts on the personal plan — distinct and separate from the available widget for sidebars and footer.
Am I mistaken or was this removed in recent years?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you for writing, timethief. However I’m not looking to shorten URLs. I’m looking for a shortcode to display the blog roll.

Sorry I did not understand you. All shortcodes we have are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/

Thank you, timethief. That list is helpful. None shows in that list so it was either discontinued or more likely I was mistaken to its existence.

FWIW I have been here for over 11 years and do not recall us ever having a shortcode here at WordPress.COM to display our blogrolls.

Hi @mattrobbwriter
As far as I know, you can still post links in with plain text enabled in the Visual editor on posts and it’ll automatically post a snapshot of the content depending on what you’re posting (YouTube videos, Spotify’s music player, etc.).
But maybe you’re asking about something else. You can also check out this list of shortcodes to see if what you’re trying to accomplish is still around
https://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/
Let us know if there is something else or something specific you’re trying to do!
Happy blogging!

Excuse me but he already stated he wants to use a shortcode to display his blogroll and blogrolls are entered into the Links section of the site.

Hi there,
I can confirm the Links widget is the only option to display blogroll links. We don’t have a shortcode for that.
