Is there a ‘family plan’?

  • For work, I have one WordPress account (https://ScalingStudentSuccess.org), my wife has two accounts (www.natocho.com, http://www.annettenatocho.com), and now my 14-yr-old son wants to build a WordPress site to support his budding clothing business. Rather than paying for separate accounts, is there a way to save money by combining these accounts into a joint account with multiple URLs? Thanks.

  • Hi there,

It seems like out of the 3 domains you mentioned, only annettenatocho.com is hosted here at WordPress.com. Others are using the self-hosted version of wordpress at siteground and godaddy respectively.

There are various ways to tackle your issue. You can move your websites here at WordPress.com which will take care of everything for you and you won’t need to worry about security, maintenance, upgrades, traffic limitations and so on. There is only the Pro plan currently which is $180/year/site.

If you want to use other hosting, you can buy any plan which allows multiple domains to be added. This will allow all of your website in a single plan and you only have to pay for domains and one hosting only but you will have to manage everything from security to updates yourself.

You can get more information about hosting here vs self-hosted at https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions, I’d be happy to help :)
