Inserting Media & Creating Galleries Since Latest Updates

    Does anyone else thinks the new update ruined the media library & gallery features? What a hassle to get one full sized image. When one photo is inserted (which completely by passes the gallery option (why??), the drag and stretch to resize doesn’t work. When I go into the manual image resizing, it won’t allow me to make it bigger either. Yet, the same picture is a large as my 27″ monitor when I insert it as a gallery image. So with the new updates, in order to access the gallery, I have to trick the media library uploader by picking more than one photo and then trashing the extra. All of that just to upload a full sized image? Stupid. I only use this site to show photos. Whatever this update was suppose to do better, it totally screwed up the media library and gallery section. My question is how do I take my domain name to another blog site, other than WordPress, when my contract expires in April, as I find the latest updates to be a really bad fit for me?

    Hi there, I understand your frustration with the new dashboard editor, but I just wanted to make sure that you were aware that you can still create and edit posts in the WP Admin “classic” dashboard, assuming that you are posting from the web and not in one of the WPcom apps.

    In order to get to your WP Admin dashboard you can log in or navigate to https://lyndaanneart.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ from there go to Posts>Add New.

    Regardless, if you still wish to find other WP hosting you can export your content following these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

    If your domain was purchased from WPcom/Wild West domains, you can continue to keep the domain here, but change the DNS pointers to your new hosting. More about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/
