In the settings: fixed background image; live mobile: scrolling; How do I get the live mobile background fixed?

    Hey 😊

    I am using a background image on my WordPress website. It is set in: Themes> adjust> general settings> background. Here I uploaded the picture I wanna use as a background. And set the background position as fixed.

    While I am still in my dashboard where I just made those adjustments and check out how my background will look on a tablet or mobile – I do get a good result. While being in my dashboard the background gets not stretched out, covers the hole screen and is position fixed in the center.

    But if I now log out of my dashboard and check out my phone on a mobile device (I used an iPhone) the background gets super overstretched, blurry and the position is scrolling.

    I already tried some different CSS out. Putting it in under: Themes> adjust> Extra CSS. But so far did I not come to a good solution. Does anybody have a fix for that problem? 😊

    Hi Anna! Mobile browsers don’t support fixed backgrounds consistently.

    I’ve seen several possible work arounds, like these:

    You may also consider using an alternative, non-fixed background on mobile, so it’s consistent no matter what phone a person uses.

    How you implement them will depend on the theme or block you’re using. If you’re using a theme, it may be best to reach out to the theme author directly. Can you send a link to the site so we can point you in the right direction?

    Hi!

    I am using the Divi theme. I actually got in touch with the Divi them support as well already and they did let me know as well that mobile browsers don’t support fixed backgrounds consistently – so it will not work 😒

    But I can see other websites using background pictures or even videos in a fixed position on mobile 🧐 Are background videos better to imply fixed on mobile? Or is it a problem from WP plus Divi Theme that we do not have that option?
