Images in search results?
-
Is there any way to make images visible in the search results? My blog is about a comic strip, so I’d like the comics to be visible in the results. The text often lacks context without them.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can put in a detailed Description on the image, which should help. Images do better in Google than blog posts do, it seems, so there are no handicaps to image heavy blogs.

Aside from what Raincoaster said, if you are looking for images to appear in your internal search results (for example, this: http://theslylockfiles.wordpress.com/?s=mouse ), the answer is “sort of”. You can see that some themes have it by default:
(free) http://depomastheaddemo.wordpress.com/?s=cherry
(premium) http://pinboarddemo.wordpress.com/?s=lights&submit=Search
(premium) http://bloccodemo.wordpress.com/?s=video&submit=%E2%86%92So if you can find a theme that you like that has images in search results, then you are good to go.
There are ways to do it with a self-hosted blog (such as the Get the Image plugin). And you could also find/hack/modify a theme that has images in search results (or force it to via the aforementioned hacking/modifying). But that is a whole different ball of wax and may not be what you are looking for.
