image sometimes not loading correctly on page
-
Images on our pages don’t load correctly at first…. they appear compressed. Then after a page refresh it is OK.
This is using Edge browser; apostrophe theme. Any ideas? Here are two screen snippets to show you the problem

Hi –
Does the issue persist if you try another web browser? Which version are you currently using?
How is your connection speed? Can you try the site from a different internet connection and see if the issue persists.
These details will help me try to replicate the issue as I am not able to right now.

I only saw this happen in Edge, so I suppose it is related to that?
It goes away right away if I refresh the page.
It is up to date I think (on automatic update). The about section says:
Microsoft Edge 38.14393.0.0
Microsoft EdgeHTML 14.14393
I have good bandwidth 75Mbps.
I can’t get to another location now, maybe in next few days. -

Screenshots can be helpful. You can use http://snag.gy/ or http://cloudup.com to share screenshots and link to them here. If you use the WordPress.com guide for screenshots http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ you can and upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it.

I’m having the same problem, the problem is independent of browser and devise. Random squashed photos that rectify when you refresh the page. It looks very unprofessional :(

folderize and chalso – Please let me know once you have added screen shots of the original page and then after it refreshes.
chalso – Which site are you working on?
-
This is the “stretched” https://chalso.files.wordpress.com/2017/03/stretched.jpeg
It happens randomly to different pictures each time I open any of my pages.
This is what it is supposed to look like (after refreshing) https://chalso.files.wordpress.com/2017/03/after-refresh.jpeg
Sometimes after refreshing a different photo stretches and I have to refresh a few times to get them all back to normal.
It’s only started doing it this week, this is my site: -
Hi chalso and folderize – Our developers are having a look at this issue (hopefully today) I can post an update here.
-
-
-
I’ll try that, but I think it’s a more general problem, there are a few more discussions on the forum now about stretched/squashed/warped pictures.
-
Yes, it’s still happening and it’s happening in the preview now as well. It doesn’t seem to affect the photos in a slide show though. I’ve added a new tiled mosaic gallery to an old blog post and published a new blog post, both are affected.
-
Correct, our developers are working on it presently. If the issue persists or is resolved on your site let me know.
-
It is still happening regularly.
Here is another pair of before-and-after screen shots.

The screen shots come from this page

Have the developers reproduced this? Is there any work-around? -

Thank you for the update. Have you already cleared your browser cache? Here’s how: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
