Hi there,
From what I can see you were able to add the search block to a recent post, I see it on your homepage. Were you able to sort this out on your own, or did you need a hand still or have some other use of the search box in mind?
Thanks for the additional info!

Hi, it’s not built into the demo, so do you know whether you had added it through a widget or a block?
https://singldemo.wordpress.com/Here’s how to add a search block:

I didn’t actually add it. I was looking at how to add it and hid it in the settings. I backtracked and found how to unhide it on the right side of the site. Thanks.

It might be easier still if you also add it to the widget area, since the pinned post will only show on archive pages.
Hoping that helps!

Widgets are in the footer only and not really visible inles we click into the footer. It’s pinned to the top of the new message area. Search will show if we click the site logo.

Hi there,
One option you may want to consider is switching to one of our “Full Site Editing” themes shown here: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/full-site-editing/
With Full Site Editing, the entire theme is made of blocks (including the header) so you would have the flexibility to add a search block to the header of your site, which would be visible on all pages.

I’ve been using widgets and blocks, but I seem to be limited to posting them to the footer. I am not given any other option for putting them in. I like the idea. I avtually have g-drive servers embedded in the pages using the reusable blocks. I like the reusable blocks but I was expecting it to be a template to drag into a message and save, and it does that but when I edit the message info it edits the reusable blocks. If I do dynamic updating it updates the block when I expected it to edit the message only. I am making good use of the blocks. The widgets would also be useful but they seem to only go into the footer. It’s a hobby. I am not making money at it so I can’t spend money. Just some friends making music together. Thanks.
