HTML Help In Text Widget
-
Greetings To All,
I am having a bit of a problem and I hope you all can give me a hand. I am trying to create a list of HTML buttons on a Text Widget but I can’t seem to get the
tags to work correctly. I was attempting to enter the button HTML then have a space in between the next button using the
tag. But the buttons stack on top of each other. Now I am just cutting and pasting the code into the widget. Do I have to make a full html document and all that or am I missing something.

Have you tried putting
<div></div> or <p></p>
in between your button codes? That will put them on top of one another. Do you mean you want them side by side? Are you sure they’re not too wide for your sidebar? What I always do is compose in the normal Write Post window and when it’s just how I want, I click to the HTML tab and copy all the code. Paste that code in the widget.

I am wanting them on top of each other just with a line in between them. They fit fine I just want to space them out a bit.

Well i tried those with no luck. I am about to say the heck with it. Not a bit thing and I can cheat a little.

I use the break tags.
<br /></br>
Then to center it all, I use the center tag.
<div align="center">entire widget text</div>

You guys can click on my blog link and you will see what I am talking about. I am trying to place a space in between the firefox button and the ywriter pic. But I have tried it all and nothing seems to work. I will probably just leave it as is. But I wanted you all to see what I was referring to.

No don’t feel like that. Months ago I had half my blog to the left and the rest at the bottom and took hours to find the code that screwed it all up. lol

If memory serves correctly, the html code for a blank space within a line is If that does not work, insert a space in a line in Kompozer and switch to the source view to find the correct code.

Ok, I overlooked the fact that this editor uses html. I will try again, this may or may not work.
