  • Hi there,

    WordPress.com sites allow to add very limited HTML code, and it strips any longer piece of code, for security reasons.

    For more information, please see here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

    There are other ways to add a Mailchimp form to your site, either as a widget, or a popup.

    You can find guidance on how to add Mailchimp to your WordPress.com site, here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/mailchimp/

    Hope this helps.

  • Thanks, this has helped.

  • I do have another Question;

    Sub Tabs?

    So if I have a Page called Photos, I don’t want this clickable I want the folders under this? How can it be done, please?

  • There is a way to that. It’s a bit involved, but it can be done.

    – First create the subpages you want to show under Photos (for example), but don’t create the Photos page yet. To do that go to Manage > Site Pages > Add.

    – After you’ve created the pages, go to Customize > Menu > and select the menu where you want to add the new items. Click on Add Items > Custom Links. On the URL field, type # and on Link Text, the name you want for the link (Photos, for example). Click Add to Menu.

    – Then add the subpages. Click on Add Items > Pages, and select the subpages you want to add. They will show under the Photos now. Drag them to the right so that they are not in line with the Photos menu item. From there you can re-arrange them the way you want.

    – Save and publish.

    That should do the trick.

    You can create a main page and add subpages directly from the Manage > Site Pages, but in that case the main page would be clickable. This is a workaround :)

    Let me know if you need more help on this.

  • Hey!

    Thanks again for your help!

    Now i am stuck here;

    http://prntscr.com/h1crky
    http://prntscr.com/h1crqb

    So i have the pages under the Category, but the Category is still clickable ?

  • No problem :)

    Instead of Category it should be a Custom Link, so you can set it as # or keep it empty, so it won’t be clickable. If you set it as a Category, it’s going to link to that Category.

    Here’s a screenshot of what I mean: https://snag.gy/j5tdJ1.jpg

    Hope it makes sense.

  • Yes! You were right there after i did all this i reread it and got it working.

    It made sense after i played with it, Now one last thing please!

    <div id="mc34hbg0f9egwx"><a href="https://app.moonclerk.com/pay/34hbg0f9egwx">Test Paypment</a></div><script type="text/javascript">var mc34hbg0f9egwx;(function(d,t) {var s=d.createElement(t),opts={"checkoutToken":"34hbg0f9egwx","width":"100%"};s.src='https://d2l7e0y6ygya2s.cloudfront.net/assets/embed.js';s.onload=s.onreadystatechange = function() {var rs=this.readyState;if(rs) if(rs!='complete') if(rs!='loaded') return;try {mc34hbg0f9egwx=new MoonclerkEmbed(opts);mc34hbg0f9egwx.display();} catch(e){}};var scr=d.getElementsByTagName(t)[0];scr.parentNode.insertBefore(s,scr);})(document,'script');</script>

    This code is hard to work with as i want it to show… but it won’t again cause of HTML limited ability any way i could use this without a plugin?

  • As I mentioned above you won’t be able to use complex html code on your WordPress.com site. That’s for security reasons, as WordPress.com websites run on a shared environment, and bad code can compromise every other website.

    You can check this page for more information:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

    That looks like the code for a payment app/plugin. You won’t be able to use that one, but there are other options you can use to accept payments, depending the type of plan you have.

    You can find more information on how to accept payment on your WordPress.com site here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

    and: https://en.support.wordpress.com/simple-payments/
