how to verify website owenership for google
-
Hi
I’m trying to verify ownership of my wordpress site (akmininginfo.org) with google. There are a couple of methods, and I can’t figure out how to do any of them.method # 1: paste a meta tag into the <head> of my homepage. How do I access the <head> section for my wordpress blog?
method #2: Upload an HTML file to to the site.
Is there a way to do that? WordPress doesn’t allow me to upload an html file.method 3: do it through the domain name provider
I can’t figure out who has the DNS records for my site. Does anyone know how to figure that out? Thanks!

If you are using a WordPress.com theme good SEO is a given. However, going beyond the theme what the blogger has done within that structure is worth evaluating. Whether you write informative, persuasive or controversial content learning how search engines work, and how to apply basic SEO to you content will benefit your blog as it will increase traffic from targeted readers. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/10/21/two-seo-videos-for-bloggers/

Thanks for such a quick response and for all the links to check out. I saw there was a SEO plug in that could be installed to further enhance that aspect of my blog, but since I have a wordpress.com blog, I’m assuming it can’t be used for my site?
