How to remove unwanted 'share this', 'leave a reply', etc.

    Hi there,

    Please can you help me. I have just set up a new site to display my paintings. I have the Imbalance2 theme and I want the site to be very minimal. I have the CSS upgrade but am having terrible trouble removing all the unwanted on screen things like date, ‘leave a comment’, ‘share this’, leave a reply’, etc.

    I have noticed that my ‘screen options’ drop down menu on the dashboard does not resemble the one shown here http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/

    The only options I can see are these:

    Show on screen
    Right Now Recent Comments Your Stuff What’s Hot QuickPress Recent Drafts Stats
    Screen Layout
    Number of Columns: 1 2 3 4
    Admin Preferences
    Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages

    Does this have anything to do with it? Ideally I would like to set the entire site to default so that none of these unwanted extras are displayed on any of my pages/posts.
