how to put a subject in P2 theme
-
There seems to be no subject input on the front page of the P2 theme. How does this affect search engine results, and listings by tags? Also the “recent comments” listing in the sidebar lists the whole post as the subject.
Is there a way to input a subject from the front page of each post>
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you go to the Appearance section of your blog dashboard, you will notice there is a theme options for P2 sub tab under it and the option is under that menu.

Under “appearance > P2 options”, the only option is “Display titles” which is already checked.
Could it be somewhere else?
-
The titles are displayed, once they are there (done in the dashboard), but there seems to be nowhere to input them from the front page of the blog..

What do you mean “input them from the front page of the blog?”
And what is the address of the blog?
-
There is post input from the front page, but no place to put a title for the post. At least I’ve not found one yet.

P2 is a totally different thing from normal blogs. Posts with titles can only be done from the dashboard. The box on the front is for users to just enter what they are doing at the time. You can think of it as a standalone comment that others can comment on rather than a post in the traditional sense.

That makes posting from the front page not feasible, as all comments to any such post would be messed up under “recent comments” on the right. Also I wonder what happens to tag organization and searches. Are there any other themes that open all comments on front page?
Thanks for your feedback.

That should have read, comments to such comments are messed up under “recent comments” on the right.

No there is not. What you want can be done with self-hosted blog (probably requiring knowledge of PHP script or at the very least a couple plugins. I’ve never researched it so I don’t know for sure.
