How to generate traffic to your blog
-
Puuh that’s a relief. I got a bit confused on what’s ok to post. Thanks timethief & Sulz for the helpful links and suggestions.

@k3mp
You’re doing just fine. You will note that the beginner’s resource links point out how to proceed. First, you check the FAQs. Second, you check the forum search threads. Third, you check all the current threads already open on the forum to see if they are on the same topic.If you cannot find an answer then you post to the forum where fellow bloggers (who are unpaid volunteers) will try to answer your question. If a question cannot be answered by volunteers or if your blog has a technical problem and requires a backend fix you then contact staff.

tens and twenties?
if it is of any importance to us new bloggers, then can someone please explain what that means? -
-
@shomoshor
Although I could be wrong, I’m assuming “tens and twenties” means that faithful blog readerships are slowly built up by attracting tens and twenties of new readers. But, I haven’t clue what the “FRNs” that options refers to are. -
I didn’t read all of the above, and sorry for being lazy, but…I have a blog on wordpress, I can get to it directly but when I post comments, my username does NOT link to my blog. I have all my settings as public. What can I be doing wrong? or how can I fix the problem?
Thanks :-) -

The only thread where one can post to promote their blog is here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=7101 -
Community is very important…
Within sports blogs, there are 3 or 4 of the HUGE blogs that do daily news-links to other blogs… if you can land on one of them, it’s good for a huge increase (sometimes a few thousand hits). I’m not sure if there are such for other themes/communities, but if there are, the occasional email to their “tips section” if you’ve written a good piece, may reap dividends. -
There are a lot of great tips and methods that I have seen posted. It’s great seeing the community come together on this issue. I would like to contribute some of my own independent findings. Since posting the following link I have included two other blogs about generating quality page views.

@jmhelms
Thanks but did you know that the place to plug your own blog is here? https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=7101
I think you can appreciate that if we all promoted our posts on this issue in this thread that the thread would be miles long. Moreover, it wouldn’t be comprehensive. On the other hand a google search is more effective
