How do I reclaim my wordpress domain
-
Hello, I used hypatiaskindred.wordpress.com for a split second, changed it to something else and now I want to change it back to hypatiaskindred.wordpress.com. But it’s saying its no longer available. Can you help me? Right now, I have the site called hypatiaskindred1.wordpress.com

This isn’t possible. As very clearly stated when you changed the name of your site, I quote “Once you change the “example” part of example.wordpress.com, the old address will stop working. Visitors will not be redirected to your new site address. The old address will not be available for use again.”, https://wordpress.com/support/changing-site-address/

Even if you did this 1 second ago, there is no way back. This was very clearly stated when you changed the name.

Hi there,
I’ve restored https://hypatiaskindred.wordpress.com to your account, so it’s no longer deleted.
We cannot reverse the address change, but you can manually move your content back to that address using the export/import tools.
If you have any followers on your site, we can move those and your stats back for you as well. Please confirm if you want us to do that, and confirm the address of the site you want us to move them from.
@galois, @staartmees, simply telling the OP they’re out of luck in these situations is not accurate. While we cannot reverse the address change, we can still reverse the site deletion if done within 30 days, just like any other site deletion, so please tag these threads for staff instead. -

@kokkieh
The official documents of the support, say one thing in relation to the elimination of sites and another, different, in relation to the changes of addresses.
It is not my fault if the documents have to be updated.Also, no less than three members of the Staff have told me that a changed URL cannot be retrieved.
Anyway, this is not the first time that you have responded rudely or inconsiderately to me. Other users have done the same, the last two times here and here and the staff member did not scold them.
But the fact that you do, has led me to consider never again helping in these forums.By the way, if I do the same in the Spanish forums it will be a desert, since I am the only one (the only one) volunteer who responds and helps there, seven days a week.
Good luck.

@galois, I said your reply was inaccurate, and I asked you to tag threads like these for staff. I’m sorry if that came across to you as rude – I’m just trying to ensure users in these forums receive correct answers to their questions.
Also, no less than three members of the Staff have told me that a changed URL cannot be retrieved.
If you’ve been told that by staff, then you have been misinformed. Currently any free site address deleted in the past 30 days can be restored, provided the original owner requests it.
