How Do I Get Followers After Adding A New Site?
-
It’s been 3 or 4 days since I added a new site. How do I get people to follow that sight too? I can hardly get likes or views but shares, reblogs and comments are the hardest. What Should I Do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @daisymae2017 – There are many suggestions for building traffic on these pages, but the real tips are it takes time and commenting on blogs of similar interest.

https://en.support.wordpress.com/connect/I see from your forum profile that you’ve asked quite a number of questions on how to get up and running on WordPressdotcom. Have you had a chance to research these support resources for answers as well?

Looked over some of them but how do I link to another blog? What does this mean ? What are the advantages?
-
-
Sure. In the one link it stated about getting more views. It was the first link you sent me. Some of the ideas stated were: Make content visible to search engines-However that is done I don’t know. Do You? Link to a blog post is mentioned. I know nothing about Pingbacks and Technorati. Please explain and tell me how to do these things. Do I have to pay for a site before getting more traffic? What is Get Connected? Is it free? Can I connect for free?

Hello again,
Making Content Visible: Your site Privacy settings already allow indexing by search engines so you so you don’t need to do anything further in that regard. When you write new Posts, use appropriate categories and tags, as it mentions. That helps others find you in the WordPressdotcom Reader.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/reader/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/Linking to other sites: You can search those categories in the Reader to find and follow other WordPressdotcom sites with similar interests. There are a couple of ways to link back to those sites you follow. You can use the Blogs I Follow widget or the Links widget
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/blogs-i-follow-widget/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/links-widget/It sounds to me like you might be struggling with the concept of blogging and the blogging community. I would like to suggest that if you haven’t had the chance to do so yet, you work your way through the introduction tutorial at https://learn.wordpress.com/ so you understand better some of the key concepts.
All the above is free. You do not need to upgrade or pay for anything. It does however mean an investment in time and effort to become part of a community and get more views and traffic.
If you have any question about that, please post back to this forum thread rather than opening a new one. :)

Now to create a blogroll if I understand the support instructions correctly after I go to links and add new links it loads. Do I put in the name of the site I want to send them to then take the web address from the address bar and of course description I understand. What do suggest I put for Target Module? I don’t understand what they mean by link relationship and the advanced module. I went to the learn more about XFN but it was all Greek to me. Now for Link Relationship would I put Self for relationship and mark the box Another Web Address Of Mine? What do they mean by Image Address and RSS Address? Can I blogroll to another blog or isn’t that possible? Also, is the web address the my sites address or do I have to do a blogroll for each post? Sorry about all the questions but I want to do this right.

For each link in your blogroll, the only information that you really need to add are the Name and the Web Address.

So from what your saying and the links I looked at, it looks like I just need the name of each blog I follow and the address-Right?

Yes. That’s correct.

It said the link was added but where do I find it? I looked and don’t see the start of a blogroll. Why? Where would it be?
