How do I add featured posts homepage?
-
This used to be a function but I can’t find the option now. I don’t want to spend too long on aesthetics as that’s not graded but I just want an easily accessible tile-based here’s a link to each post and featured picture. The home page customisation is missing from the Customise. Changing themes doesn’t help.a
What do I do?

Hi @wurueeu, you might like the posts block. You’d need to use this on a static page, which you can design as you like. Then make that page your front page.

Or, several of our older blogging themes have something like this if you want to just use their posts grid:

Is there a way to add a search bar to the navigation bar area? I can only add it to the side bar and it pushes the main text a bit too far left for easy reading.

No, that wouldn’t be possible without changing to a theme that provides it, like https://wordpress.com/theme/twentytwenty/
