How can i remove a date from a sticky post

  • Hi,

    This is not the first time that I have asked this question, Unfortunately, I forgot where I had asked and by the time that I came back to it, it had closed. The initial question and solution is below.

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-can-i-remove-date-from-just-one-sticky-post/

    The solution that did not work was

    Kindly try the following custom CSS code (put in APPEARANCE => CUSTOMIZE => ADDITIONAL CSS):

    .home .sticky time {
        display: none;
    }

    Unfortunately, I added the code exactly as seen in this and it has had no impact on the date with my sticky post. Basically, the site is part blog, but it is also to help with wild travel, and as such I have a sticky post at the top, which contains hundreds of links in the form of a map and a gallery. Indeed, having come back to it, and checked, the code is already added to the website with no impact at all.

    Could theme stop it from being changed? I use twentyseventeen.

    It is very frustrating, as it makes the website look like it is not updated regularly, when it is. Any help would be fantastic, thanks in advance
