How can I change my Twitter account
-
When I set up my blog, I used Twitter Account A. Now I want to change to Twitter Account B. But when I use publicize to disconnect, and then reconnect, it always uses Account A, even though I have already updated my profile. What do I have to do to get it to use Account B
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there –
Have you cleared your cache/cookies recently?
Give that a try and let me know if you’re still unable to get the B account connected.

Thanks Liz! That did it (sort of). I prefer not to clear my cache/cookies from my favored browser, so I used a disfavored browser, and that worked perfectly. Thanks! (BTW, fwiw, I regard this as a bug). Anyway, onward.

I’m happy to dig in a little bit to see if there’s anything we can fix on our end. Would you tell me what browser type and version number you were using?

Thinking like a user, I would suggest that if the backend grabs the twitter handle from the browser’s guts someplace the user might not be aware of, it should offer it to the user as an option, along with the current content of the user profile, and let the user choose. Alternatively, it should use the current content of the profile. What it should not do is what it now seems to do: use the browser data ignoring the current content of the profile. Just sayin’.
