Homepage header and menu title

    Hello,
    I’m using the Canape theme and would like to remove the homepage’s header, or at least make it different from the homepage’s menu title.

    At the theme preview it seems possible, but I can’t figure out how to do it.

    Hello,
    I’m looking for a theme that enables:
    1. Hide the header from the homepage
    2. Add full-width images (like a hero) down the page, to make the homepage look like a one-pager site (without any margins to photo)
    3. The page header is next to the content text and not separated by the page’s main image (like this: https://snipboard.io/g7q2Q0.jpg)
    4. flexible fonts, preferably Assistant

    My fantasy theme is some kind of combination of Dara and Shawburn…

    Please if you have any ideas, I’ve tried literally every theme on wordpress.com and can’t find what I’m looking for.

    I noticed you opened up two separate threads with theme questions, so I merged them into this thread and will answer you here.

    I’m showing that dabrueleynu.org is using the Dara theme currently.

    While we can’t help with theme selection and customization, we can get you pointed in the right direction.

    You might want to check out themes that take advantage of the Full Site Editor, which gives you more flexibility in layout and design:

    Hi,
    Thank you so much for your answer.
    I’m checking the new editor now and I’m having trouble with getting the menu to be at full width (see here: https://snipboard.io/7kMFjp.jpg the menu compared with a full-width image.

    Can you help me with that?

    I think the limitation here is with the Row block that the Navigation block is nested within.

    In this case I would recommend experimenting with moving the Navigation Block out of the row, which should allow it to get wider than it is currently.

    You can see what I mean in the video linked here.

    Note that in my explorations I did not see a way to make the menu go the entire width of the browser window, so this may be as wide as it is possible to set this menu. That could be an option added to a later improvement to the site editor, however.

    Thank you so much!
    I took the menu out of the header into a new group and then added a background color to that group, so now it looks full-width.

    I will explore the new editor some more and hopefully get it the way I want.
