Help Inserting the Classic Editor plugin
-
My site uses the Premium version of WordPress.com.
I want to insert the Classic Editor plugin, but apparently, plugins are only available with the Business Plan. I can’t afford that now. Is there a way to get the Classic Editor defaulted on my site under my current Premium plan? Thanks.
If I delete the Gutenberg, will that automatically revert all of my posts and pages back to the Classic Editor? Thanks.
Mike

Hello, there is no way to upload a plugin while on the premium plan, you would need to upgrade to be able to do that.
That said, are you experiencing any problems with the block editor that may need to be pointed out to staff, or you are just have not yet (like most people) accustomed to the block editor? I don’t think it’s possible to delete Gutenberg, it is now the default editor although they still have options to access the classic editor. via your WP admin.
The still available options are either using the classic block https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/classic-block/
or accessing the classic editor vis the WP Admin dashboard as explained herehttps://wordpress.com/support/classic-editor-guide/#how-to-access-the-classic-editor

Thanks, ggmoyo.
I currently access Classic Editor when I revise old posts or create new ones. Was just trying to make it easy and hoping there was a way to make Classic Editor the default setting. Thank you.

Hi Mike,
The Classic Editor has been retired some time ago, so it’s not possible to use it as a default option.
