Heading Caption Overlay on images

Hi there. I have a overlay for the caption on my slider for my posts. I am wanting to adjust the opacity of the overlay so you can see the photo thru the box. what is the add CSS I need to input to do this. I am using the Avventura theme and the slider is built into the theme.
