Gutenberg editor does not save excerpt

    Hi!
    I noticed a bug while using the new Gutenberg editor. I’m writing with the Safari browser on a Mac with the latest version of MacOS, and I have not tried any other browser.

    The bug I’ve seen is that the excerpt is not saved, even though I’ve pressed the button to save the draft. I have written my post, submitted tags etc, written my publicize message, but sometimes I’ve gone back to editing the post some more and after that, the manual excerpt I’ve written is long gone.

    Sometimes I’ve missed this and therefore, the published post has a part of the post in the description instead of the excerpt or the publicize message. Please fix!
